  This is what happened to my elderly mother when she stayed at Lifestream in the Geriatric unit. We discovered these fresh bruises on her today when she came home from there. If you have a family member who is struggling with substance abuse PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LET ANY SOCIAL WORKER OR ER DOCTOR SEND THEM THERE! The staff is very negligent and uncaring and they are just there for a psycheck. My mother is a retired registered nurse and this is the worst run mental health and substance abuse rehab hospital she has ever seen. They never bathed the patients who couldn't bathe themselves. One patient was roughly handled physically when she was being cleaned from having an accident on herself. They didn't provider incontinence products for patients with those issues. They just let them go on themselves. We will be reporting this facility to the Florida Joint Comission and to the news media.
